I've been blamed many times for having a dirty mind, but the closest I can get on this one is a reference to "jerkin' the gerkin", and it's certainly not obvious.

If you picked up on that just walking by, it must be your medical mind's amazing ability to make connections....

^

I mean seriously, wtf? They are both great snacks, therefore putting them together in the snacks department seems like a logical idea.

Maybe you have to be American to get it though.

I think someone has a wicked sense of humor and it was intentional. They probably snicker at just the thought of it.

I just don't see why pickles would go with beef jerky as a marketing strategy. When is the last time anyone had a pickle with beef jerky?

And the subliminal message could attract or turn off. Personally ..I'd place my pickle pocket far away from the beef jerky. Pickles belong with the condoments. And the Jerky ... well I think more people would want to grab the jerky and so should put that where easy access near other snacks.

I can have one of the dirtiest minds, but it took me 5 minutes to see the connection there. Damn WC you picked up on that just walking by? Just how dirty is your mind? :)

Would I put them next to each other...sure...jerky by itself can be a good substitute for a meal and pickles are like drinking a gatorade. I prefer jerky and OJ though...used it many times as a substitute for a meal.
