Relatively quiet day. Only had a couple of memorable quotes:
[Expressing frustration over TV political commentators] “Oh, right. HE’s a great source for information. These people disimpact themselves, look at their hands, then wave to the camera and expect you to take everything you see as gospel truth. Critical thinking isn’t part of their thought process.”
[Describing joint replacements] “Artificial joints don’t do sh*t. You’re born with only so many movements in your joints. When they’re used up, you’re through. End of story.”
So ..tell us ..does your Dad have any opinions?
I’ve heard good reports from people I know have had hip replacements. After my aunt had her 1st one done ..she said she couldn’t wait to do the other and wished she had done it all earlier in life. A friend with a serious degenerative disease of her hip(early 50s), got her life back after a hip replacement ..walking everywhere pain free and lost weight, very happy with it.
Your Dad sounds like quite the character.
So if he thinks TV commentators are idiots, then why is he still watching them? I gave up on cable news a long time ago myself.
About his second one, is he the type that throws everything out and buys a new one when it breaks instead of trying to fix it?
