Curriculum Change

My 5 year old daughter came home from kindergarten with more of her schoolwork. Included in her papers was this fine coloring job.

“So you colored very well. You stayed in the lines and everything.”
“I know.”
“What else did you do today.”
“We actually didn’t read Dick.”

She knew something was up when I pulled out my phone and tried to get her to make the statement again.
“Wait … wait. What else did you do today?”
“Dad, I don’t find this very funny.”

That makes one of us.

  1. Yeah, I think sometimes I should just have my phone on permanent record when I am talking to my three year old.

kids rock. my then four year old son asked a few months ago if it was better to screw in the car or in the house… it took me forever to realize his leapster was out of batteries and it takes a screw driver to open :-).

I think it’s funny the Dick curriculum is cracking you up. :)

I am really curious about this and am going to go pull out some of the Dick and Jane books I bought and see if I see what I see when I see these posts.

I only knew one Dick in my life ..but I knew him as Mr because he was my friend’s father. never hear the name now. Dick must’ve been popular at one time though.
