A counterpoint of the current system would be.:
No I do not want gum but if I do need it later i expect you to give me gum free.
Slightly less funny, but more accurate:
“No thanks, I do not wish to purchase that pack of gum. Of course, I may decide to chew the gum later. In that case, I expect the gum company to provide it to me for free.”
